I was at imdb a few days ago checking if they'd maybe already list a new movie from Brendan. They didn't, but they're suddenly listing this old movie I have never ever heard of. Hand. He's even listed as playing the main character! Canadian though, sounds like it only came out there on video... SO I bet it's rotting somewhere among the cheap videos in one of these large boxes where they're all in. In Canada. *sobs* I want to mooove!
And here I was thinking I had seen about all Brendan movies. But then again, I recently got the Millenium eps with him in it. Well, one, the other still needs to dl. I even signed up for it! *lol* So much for not really losing my fascination for him after all. ;)
Anyways, I finally finished my Riddick FL: Pitch Black. No, I couldn't think of a name more original... :-/ And the layout is kinda sucky still. But check out the nifty, nitfy link effects! Took me about an hour to find the code for the image effect. All tutorial pages I had bookmarked are down.
An I also made a new layout for Divine BadBoy, my Kris Lemche FL. Remember he's Cute Boy God on JoA and will be with Majandra on State's Evidence. (He's the one she called so funny. :) ) I also managed to get a wallpaper and WinAmp skin done. My programm for the skins had been spazing lately, but now it seems fixed. *phew*
I also made a Maria WinAmp skin a few days ago - that was when the programm spazed - but didn't upload it yet, because I'm not really sure I like it. It's kinda... blah. I made a screenshot of how it will look, can you tell me if it's good enough to upload? Click. (The red is so blurry cause it's .jpg, on the actual skin it's nice and readable.)

I've finally made a new layout for the Maria fanlisting. It's with pics from Sexual Healing. I dled an DVD rip avi so I wouldn't have to switch my comp to code 1. *lol* But so I still didn't get a sharp image of Maria standing there in her short dress... But I think with the effects I ran it looks okay.
Also, what I wanted didn't work. The right part with the navigation on the image and a banner rotation under "plugging". And now that I think of it, it makes sense. The link coordinates can't work on a html page, because those are always as large as your browser makes them. So after a long time of testing and trying different stuff, I decided to cheat. ;) Nobody will notice unless they check the code though. *lol* But the Pixie Visions button is steady on the right image, rather than placed there with a html code.
But I also really wanted to have it there. Once because it makes the whole thing look better, and second to plug it, because I'm pretty sure nobody is gonna check for a Majandra FL under arts. Although they should. ;)
Oh, I also made 2 new buttons, but will only update when I've made a few more. I'd feel stupid to just update for 2 of them.
Next will be the Oil + Water FL, and then probably a new layout for Trust, which was one of my first FLs. Or Riddick first, I'll see. And oh! Now I almost forgot! Zia and me got JoA season 1 approved! :D I think from now on we need to do joined applications more often. *lol* I really never expected us to get this, since JoA is so big. Though there are still some ep FLs open, so I dunno... maybe the fans are just not as internet active as, say, Roswell fans. ;)

I've been dling this new mini series, 5 Days to Midnight and I have to say it is so damn thrilling! I already watched the first 2 parts in a row and am now gonna pop in part 3. *lol* It's about this guy played by Timothy Hutton. One day he receives a suitcase from the future containign information about his murder that'll happen in 5 days. It was never solved but he gets a list of suspects, the bullet, pictures, dates, everything.
Now he's of course trying to prevent it and has already saved one woman's life, but then there was this guy that told him he couldn't do that because it would bring the universe all out of balance, and all the other Final Destination stuff, and now the woman did die after all! I suspect it was this guy, but you never know. Death has a plan for all of us... *lol*
I think I know who sent the suitcase, but damn, I have so no clue who might have killed him. Many good suspects...
But there was this part that had me laughing my ass off. It was when this guy held the Final Destination speech. At first he talked about ripples which will forever be a JoA word to me ever since "Jump", and then he said that "Everything is part of the design". *lmao* That was so a 1:1 quote from Nemesis Game. So you know, I really think he killed that woman at least. People who talk like they know the design... ;)
Anyways, I got Riddick approved. :D Over Zia who applied as well, because it was open on a Sunday when our communication is so delayed. Otherwise we'd most likely have applied joined for Riddick and joined for M&M, which opened the same day. So well, this puts a small dampener on it, but at least one of us got it. And hehe, Riddick! (Vin Diesel's role on Pitch Black.) The previews for Chronicles of... already make me all giddy since a few week now. *lol* His eyes are just so damn sexy.
And I finished my last episode FL. I think I'm not gonna apply for anymore for a while now. Not like there are new eps though, so I should talk. *lol* But well, still miffed about VLV. :-/ The one I finished is for JoA episode 20: Anonymous. I called the FL Special, and experimented some more with the codes and layout. Something I wanted didn't work though... But I like it the way it is now too. :)

Today I got the worst rejection e-mail I could get as far as FLs go. Viva Las Vegas. Denied. :( I mean, alright, so I wanted M&M too, of course, as well as all other FLS I applied for over the time, but some FLs I just knew I wouldn't get, or at least had a very, very slim chance because they were so big topics. But Vegas! That's my favorite episode of my favorite show. Blood Money is the only clique I have because of that. And I was checking the old FL like once a week to see if it would maybe finally ask to be taken over or just close or whatever, maybe update. (Last update there was June 22nd last year... *coughs*) Mean of me? Yes. But VLV deserved better than that.
And I had plans for it from the beginning. I wanted to have an "invent the Dr. Love cocktail" contest going but never started it because a clique doesn't get much traffic and I figured nobody would even send in a recipe. But if I'd done this now, I might have, since new FLs just get lots of traffic from curious people.
Oh well, so what. I'm just gonna have to start putting a button in my sig on ezboards and maybe this way will get fresh traffic. I still occasionally have people joining my clique, so that's cool.
But still, the whole thing so made me question my webmaster abilities. I mean, I obviously have to suck if I don't even get this FL approved. Unless it's because I own too many other Roswell episode FLs, but actually it's only 3 I have on my own, the other 3 I run together with Zia. And there are people with more than me. So if one of those got it, I'll know that it's just because I suck.
I mean, I really love my Indecisive layout and it was hours of erasing work, but I don't have anything nifty on my page. No tables, no php, no f.ucking jave script drop down menus. I considered those, but they fucking always vanish everytime I scroll on a page that has them, and I figured if it happens to me, it happens to others as well.
A few hours ago I actually considered applying with my Devon FL on places to maybe get hosted and thus more space to put up my caps. But now I won't. Because I won't get it anyways. Because I suck. And I don't even have Zia to whine to right now because she's gone tonight. *cries*
Oh, pluggity, because I fucking AM great at codes at least: Mon Soleil has new codes.

Yesterday when I got home I was all surprised to see my package from fnac had arrived. They never send an e-mail that it was send out, so I didn't expect it so soon. But yay! :) So now I have another Devon movie to watch and the special edition of RoBERT's "Unutma". And I have to say it was so worth it! The clip just gets better and better the more often you watch it, and on the DVD I now saw a few details I always missed before, like the device eating the frog, thsu making it glow, so the prince then gets resurrected from the frog. Just like in the fairytales. :)
I capped it, of course. *lol* But this time I was fast! Le Prince Bleu DVD caps.
I even signed up for a new imagestation account. But I e-mailed them about my old one. I hope they'll tell me what's wrong and how I can fix it. I don't want to end up with them deleting the existing albums... *bites lip*
Unutma itself is surprisingly awesome. I never thought it would be this good, but RoBERT is a great singer! The last 3 songs piss me off though, 2 are remixes and those always suck (remember what they did with Majandra's song? *shudders*) and "Nickel" is just plain weird. "Unutma" almost made me cry because it sounds so beautiful. I think she sings it in Turkish, but I could be wrong.
But so well worth the buy if you were considering it! The CD case and booklet look great too. Franck did the design and RoBERT looks very pretty in the pics (she's naked in all of them). Before I saw pics were she looked more or less scary, but I really like the "new" look. :)

And oh, Tigerland is on TV today. I hope I'll remember when I'm back from ym dad's. :) And also, what I did a few days ago are caps from Earth vs. The Spider: here. Photobucket won't sort right though... :-/ My imagestation account has been blocked, so I'm a little left out there. *sigh* I bet some asshole direct link to Kris Lemche pics. I can see no other reason why Imagestation would do that to me.
And oh, warning! Some of the Devon pics are rather gruesome, since it's a horror movie and I capped till the very end. ;) *lol*

I'm busy working on Pixie Visions, my new FL. I made 2 layouts yesterday, one wouldn't work with text on it but then I could resize it and use it as splash page. *hehe* Now I just need to make a couple more codes, then I can open. :)
What I did finish but haven't plugged here yet is the new layout for my graphics site: X-girl's Graphics. I also have a request form up, so hopefully people will soon start to use it. Diane already did so I know it's working. ;)
Ack, my hand is still kinda stiff... I'm dropping lots of stuff and mistyping too. And now it's hurting all the way up to my ellbow... Should lay off the comp for a while... Or maybe just replace my mouse. Literally. Just put it higher on my desk.
Oh, the Michael&Maria FL was suddenly open again. Very, very creepy because so far it has always been off troubles again, and now it wasn't even up on a new list. And the old site is still there and working, just the last updated date is still the same old. But I think they're still adding members. *shrugs* It's weird... I of course didn't get approved and now I just pray that the J-one didn't get it. I just saw yesterday that she took over another FL I'd have killed for. *scowls* At least she made good codes.
But I shouldn't complain. I have 2 nice Majandra FLs to build and Zia decided to jump on my "Righteous" waggon so my long talked about Brendan site might actually be opened soon.
What I just read today is that there is a sequel to Before Sunrise, one of my favorite movies starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. It's just so nice, calm and poetic. And the mag said the sequel - Before Sunset - would just be the same. Also with an open ending though. :( Still, I'm looking very forward to it. Hopefully it'll air at a good time and not just Wednesdays, now with all those other Blockbusters starting too...

I've seen Troy today and I can't tell you how much Roswell-y it was. *lol* Alright, so I can see Roswell in many things, but here it was extreme. Let's take Paris, or shall I call him the even whimpier version of Max? He fell in love with Liz-Bot, err, Helena and alas, their tragic fated great love caused an all out war and nothing but grief, trouble and death for their friends and family.
Then there was Achilles, who actually was like this very stupid asshole, so it's a little tricky to compare him to Michael, but on the other hand, Michael wasn't that nice either, and Achilles learned and changed, so hm, it actually is easy after all. ;) Both great warriors, stubborn, not to be commanded by anyone and nightmare-ridden. Till suddenly there is this girl and actually they should really hate each other. And partly they do. And they bicker but there is this huge sexual tension and of course it has to explode. They still don't get all lovey-dovey though and keep fighting. And making up. *lol*
Briseis was said girl in the movie, and at one point she was actually ranting and he just smirked amused. And then I got so into their story that I even forgot the original story and was really shocked when fucking Paris (why didn't he just fucking die, die, die?) killed Achilles. Because it was in such a stupid, wothless scene. You really just wanted to slap him, and then some. ;)
Hector I guess can be compared to season 2 Isabel. Also strong-willed and a warrior deep down, because he has to be, but actually he really just wanted peace and a family. Wiser and more intelligent than Paris but he had to stand in for his mistakes and in the end he was loyal to his brother (in that fight Paris fled), even though he knew it would only make it all worse.
So, all in all, the movie was good. Not special or anything, but good. It was nice how they worked around all the mystical tales about Achilles and gave real explanations to how they could have been created. (Was kinda funny with the heel part.)
What really bugged the hell out of me was Helena's voice. I think she synchronized herself, because she had this weird accent thingy synchron-people usually don't have. It just made me hate her even worse. Hey, just realize, another Liz think. ;)
If I had to chose, I'd rather watch Roswell than Troy. *lol*
Anyways, plugging: Broken Hearts, the FL for Great Expectations. Check the layout, I am really proud of it, because it's something I had never done before, with so many pics in it. So alright, there are still many flaws and stuff, but all in all I'm happy with how it came out. :)

The RoBERT ghost (succubi?) looks more like her than the Majandra one does, but maybe that's just because she has a very distinct face. I'm still gonna order the DVD though, once I get stupid fnac figured out. I was gonna buy "Lured Innocence" anyways, since only they seem to have it. New layout. I'm not so sure about it... I really like the picture, but I had issues with the other settings, especially here for the pitas part... Alright, I'm actually just posting this to get the archives done. It only works with the next new entry. And maybe then hopefully every new entry will be centered... I might have had the same problem last time though, I can't remember.
